A Cutting-Edge PPG Optical Sensor

Our proprietary BioTracker™ PPG optical sensor gathers accurate biometric data, and through powerful data-tracking engines, provides intelligent feedback to help users track and understand their physical condition, so they can take proactive action.


This Blood-oxygen Saturation Engine enables both 24-hour monitoring and manual measurement of blood-oxygen saturation, and works in tandem with SomnusCare™ to track Sleep Breathing Quality.


Through research and cooperation with a number of well-known hospitals, this Blood Pressure Monitoring Engine engine brings blood pressure measurement to the wrist of Amazfit users. One of the hospitals has verified that the average deviation of the PumpBeats™ blood pressure measurement is around five millimeters of mercury.

Our Sleep Monitoring Engine, SomnusCare™ provides Amazfit devices with the ability to carry out in-depth monitoring of the light, deep and REM sleep stages, as well as tracking waking times and daytime naps.


Amazfit devices with ExerSense™ are able to automatically detect a range of sports movement, and prompt the user to open the corresponsing sports mode - for an efficient and intelligent way to get moving without needing to scroll through watch menus.


Amazfit wearable devices use advanced sensor technology in combination with the RealBeats™ Heart Health Monitoring Engine, to achieve PPG arrhythmia (including atrial fibrillation) and ECG arrhythmia (including atrial fibrillation) real-time screening.

For users who want to understand specialized performance and recovery data, this Workout Status Algorithm provides Amazfit users with post-workout analysis of VO₂ Max, Training Load, Training Effect and Recovery Time.


The PAI Health Assessment System converts complex heart rate data into a simple and intuitive score, unique to each user and their activity levels. The HUNT Fitness Study, which lasted for over 35 years and had more than 230,000 participants, found that people who maintain a PAI score of 100 or higher show lower risk of hypertension, heart disease, and type-2 diabetes.


Readiness uses data such as sleep resting heart rate, sleep heart rate variability, breathing quality and body temperature to generate a score that summarizes the user's mental and physical recovery after a night of sleep. Readiness Insights, available via subscription to Zepp Aura, are also generated using a Knowledge Base developed by a team of sleep health experts including Dr. Lisa Meltzer, and come with practical guidance to help users improve their readiness.

Generative AI-Powered Solutions For Enhanced Wearables

From functioning as a personal training coach to a mindfulness and sleep coach, and crafting and optimizing tailored fitness plans, users stand to benefit from their devices giving them a powerful head-start on achieving their health, fitness, and lifestyle goals. In short, it feels like a natural interaction between the user and their device to the point that is human-like, with their smart wearable becoming their trusted personal advisor, coach, and trainer all at the same time.

Zepp Coach™

The Zepp Coach™ is an AI-powered coaching algorithm that provides tailored guidance to help users train and recover more effectively.

It allows users to enter their physical characteristics, exercise experience level, and preferred amount of training days per week into the Zepp App, which then generates a personalized training plan. As the user progresses, the Zepp Coach™ monitors their fatigue level, fitness level, and training status, and suggests a reduction in training intensity or a rest day to help avoid overtraining and reduce the risk of injury or exhaustion.

In 2023, a trial of an AI chatbot was provided as a trial for users of Amazfit devices which support Zepp Coach™. Through applied Large Language Models, this intelligent chatbot can answer exercise-related questions which are input via voice or text command, such as "Which accessory exercises can help me improve my deadlift?", in the same language that the user originally asked the question.

Found in the Zepp App, this chatbot is now available to all Amazfit users in supported countries and regions through subscription to the Zepp Fitness Membership service, which also provides in-depth fitness reports to help users approach their training in a targeted and efficient manner.

Zepp Flow™

The Zepp Flow™ voice assistant understands the needs communicated by the user's natural language descriptions, rather than relying on programmed keywords.

If, for example, the user says, "I want to go running", Zepp Flow™ will be able to recognize the user's intent and intelligently open the corresponding sports mode, in order to make interacting with the smartwatch a streamlined and hands-free process, and eliminating the need to instruct the watch to navigate through Setting menus and sub-menus. An intelligent step toward a future where AI integrates seamlessly into all aspects of health management, fitness understanding, and daily life organization, this voice assistant is compatible with 57 languages supported by OpenAI's Whisper service and so can become a true companion for a diverse range of users.

Led by Professor Ramesh Jain, the Founding Director of the UC Irvine Institute for Future Health, the AI Research Institute is one of Zepp Health's six research and development facilities around the world. Zepp Health has collaborated with universities around the world for research and development, operations, and education, with renowned partners including the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Stanford University, and the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), along with University of Science and Technology of China, Tianjin University, and Beihang University in China.

Additionally, Zepp Health has worked with Peking University First Hospital to conduct a clinical study on the atrial fibrillation testing of intelligent wearables, which used the Amazfit 1S Smart Bracelet. The research results were published in the Heart Rhythm Journal, the official peer-reviewed journal of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS).
